SDSU’s latest offer is to 6’3” shooting guard Ron Baker from Scott City Kansas. Baker just recently led his team to the 3A state championship in Kansas and even hit the game winning shot in the title game.

Currently he has offers from Eastern Illinois (who we beat twice this season) and Arkansas-Little Rock (who won the Sun Belt conference and their play-in game in the tourney). I wish that was true

Scott City is small town of around 4,000 in western Kansas. Not sure how we ended up recruiting western Kansas but Aireus came from that area last year as well.

Baker is also a standout football player leading his team to a 21-2 record in this Junior & Senior year and was named All-Area Player of the Year.

Looks like an aggressive player, good athlete, & nice outside shooting touch. Reminds me a little of Josh Mueller

Three sport athlete with very good athleticism. Strong, lean, and very long frame. 6’7” wing span with very big hands. Has a very good ball IQ. Solid handle, good vision and plays with good rhythm and tempo. Shooter! Can hit shots from all over the floor, is good spotting up, coming off screens or off the dribble. Can get to the rim and finish with either hand. Very good in transition and exciting in the open court. Long arms and athletic ability allow him to guard all three wing players.
