My parents are driving to the MT vs. LR baseball series this weekend and need to know a couple of good eating establishments.

No chains please (unless it's pretty much just in Arkansas). Also, my old man isn't that much into seafood or Asian.

It doesn't have to be fancy, just a place with some local flavor and good food. Price range up to $20 or so per person.

Thanks in advance. Good luck this weekend, but we are the ones who are going to need it. 04-cheers
Faded Rose and Buffalo Grille. Both locally owned. Cafe Bosa Nova too.
Those are good choices. Doe's is a famous place. It's in the downtown area, sort of a dump with great burgers, tamales, and a garlicy salad which I like, and was always one of President Clintons favorite places to eat when he was in town.
Doe's is great for lunch, but a bit pricey for dinner.
I haven't eaten there at night lately, but I would think if you're eating hamburgers it wouldn't be too pricey.
It's the 3lb steaks that do it.
Capers on Cantrell Road (Highway 10) is my favorite. Simply for fun, I enjoy the River Market District. Maybe Sticky Fingerz.
In downtown, I love the flyingfish.

Best Burger in Little Rock: five guys.

Safest bet: Faded Rose, just can't go wrong with Ed David's food.
\\
BBQ: Whole Hog

Rockies Pub
Flying Fish is great if you want to eat in the River Market, which is a real neat area of town. Just down the street from the Clinton Presidential library and the Heifer Project. Two places worth visiting.

Excellent recommendations. I agree with Scott about Doe's but the steaks will feed the whole table. Loca Luna is pretty decent as well.
Star of India is my favorite restaurant on the planet but no sure how popular Indain food is with most people.

Amruth is better imo. Check it out.
Been meaning to. Taj Mahal is pretty good too. But I've been a SoI loyalist for 15 years. Going somewhere else, though I will, almost feels akin to going to a Hogs game.
amruth is the reason i stopped going to the taj mahal
If you want to support a long time Trojan supporter, Ed David, who is the owner, and have good food at a reasonable price at the same time, then the Faded Rose would be your choice.
