the only [other] "Mid-Majors" to make back-t0-back Final Fours in the last 40-50 years were those UNLV teams, and Houston who made it 3 straight years from 1982-1984.

How was Houston a Mid Major? They were in the Southwest Conference at the time!

Houston was no Mid Major. UNLV technically was, but I wouldn't have considered them a mid major at that time. They were awesome. The best money could buy.

I was just quoting them. I suppose they were referring to teams that are now in mid-major conferences.
