From editorial in miami paper-

Frank Haith did one great thing for Miami Hurricane basketball; he let the school out of his bad contract two seasons early.

Miami needs to capitalize on the opportunity that he afforded them, and to bring in an up-and-comer who can turn this ACC basketball doormat into a legitimate contender.

Does seem like a rather odd hire for Mizzou. Not that Anderson won any Big 12 championships (no one but Kansas does that anyway), but they supposedly were ready to throw a couple of million a year at a new coach.
Is Mizz a better job than the low end of the ACC?

I have to think that it is, so Haith made a good move.

I don't think Miami could hire Bobby Knight and do any real winning in the ACC. Just like South FL in the big east, they just are not in basketball country.
I think Mizzou is a better job. But a coach who has, maybe, 6 or 7 years before retiring might see Miami as a pretty good job considering it is in South Florida and you can play golf year round.
