I just happened to notice that in both tourneys (NIT & NCAA) it's us vs them, haves vs have nots, AQ vs non-AQ. Here's to us & hoping that VCU does win it all but would be happy even if Butler does it. I'd think that there's some crow to be eaten by the AQ's who think their
don't stink but they'll just be in denial over it if it happens.
I would rather it be Butler than VCU.
I know there is history here...strong, intense, often incendiary...Make no mistake, VCU and UAB are old enemies from days gone by, but I am so rooting for this "enemy" this weekend in the Final 4.
If either Butler or VCU win it is a victory for all of us non Big Six teams. I'll be pulling for whoever advances, you betcha.
It'd be kind of funny if Kentucky won and had to vacate the season later though. That fan base would go ape-****.
It would be far funnier if we got to see them crying after losing to VCU. They could still have the Final Four vacated for lagniappe.
Besides, think how bad Bilas and Vitale would choke on that bone stuck deep in their throats?
