Just thought I's share because i never thought I'd see the day there would be this many people at a MAC womens bball game. It just sold out about 10 minutes ago. there will be 7300 screaming rockets fans there tonight!

Yep...when I was growing up the BG-Toledo game was always sold out in both venues, and almost always on TV.
Although BG is not exactly holding their end up much either lately :(

Well, hopefully they put on a good show for CBS College Sports. I don't recall the WNIT having much TV in the past.

Lady Rockets and Savage Arena look very nice tonight. My first look viva TV and nice to hear from AD Mike O'Brien during halftime on the academics and facilities improvements.

Every conversation I've had with Mike it seems has included academics, usually in the very beginning. It's truly a focus and point of pride for him. Wish I could have seen this game.

i'm just curious as to what the UT press release meant when it said a MAC-best crowd of 7,000 whatever it was. can someone provide some clarification on this?

My understanding is that its the largest Women's hoops crowd at a MAC arena- I think previous best was around 6,000 for UT=BG a year ago.

ok thanks. that's what i started to think after i re-read it and kept thinking about it. it must mean the largest MAC women's crowd which makes sense. Congrats to UT!

Sold out in 6 hours. I heard it took around 4 hours to clear the line. The line for student ticket was also ridiculously long. And the phone lines throughout campus were messed up because of the demand on the phone lines. There is a lot of hype on campus for this game.
