Referred to as such in the article about Pro Day on gobearcats.com.

Sheakley has been a great supporter of uc athletics. Wish there were more like him.

Yes he has, and especially for a guy who isn't even a UC grad. Glad to see his name going on this project since he had a such a huge part of it going up with his willingness to match donations.
With his name officially on it, hoping he demands to replace the CPaw logo on the outside.

agreed. just to refresh everyone's memory as to how bad it looks, here's a pic i took after they put it up:

it's like they forgot about the cpaw and duct taped a bed sheet to it at the last minute. [Image: kobeyuck.png]
Love it....and some people think MT is running this program like a mid-major....uh...no

this complex is among a myriad of reasons he is not.....

Fact is MT has done a heck of a job considering what he had/has to work with
I dunno - I think the "QSECOFR Center" has a nice ring to it.

Seriously, glad it ended up with the name Sheakely. The Sheakley family has always been good to UC.

Seriously? You wanna replace the CPaw logo with what? Sheakley's name or company logo? If they want to replace it with a more aesthetically appealing UC logo that's fine but I'd much rather keep the current CPaw than replace it with a coporate logo.
Larry Sheakley rules 04-rock Too bad it always seems to come down to him (and a few others).

Yes, a more aesthetically appealing logo.
I'm really glad we honored Sheakley's commitment by putting his name on it. Very class move and very deserving of his donation. However, I wish UC could have come out with a statement about it rather than sub (or anyone) infering about it in a general press release. Is this the first everyone has heard about this or has the school publically come out and acknowledged the name change?
The bubble comes down in a few weeks... I don't think there is a huge need for a different logo on the bubble when it is only up for 4 months a year anyway.

Agreed MLB 04-bow I don't understand the premium some put on the asthetics of this (no offense Ty and smoor). I get the impression you two have been hanging around with my wife and here Martha Stewart rulebook lately 03-nerner

x2 04-bow People can say what they want about BK, but the Sheakley complex would have been non-existent without his efforts.
Thank you Larry for stepping up and a big assist to BK.
Thank you Kelly, Mike Thomas, donors and the fan base as well as the major contributors for getting this done. It took more than one man to do this. And we could have quit after Kelly left but we didn't.
CPaw sheet is peeling off as we speak btw..
Regardless of some aesthetically.. uhh.. displeasing features on the outside, the views from inside the facility are top notch and really puts UC up there with other BCS programs. It's going to pay dividends with the football team's preparations for the season and drawing the nation's better recruits.
