Great interview. Some highlights:

1. Calhoun really went out of the way to defend the Big East.

2. Knew he had a better talent than recruiting services gave them credit for. He said Jeremy was ranked 80th and he knew Jeremy is much better than that.

3. Comment from Ray Allen that Kemba Walker was the fastest player he played against. That's pretty amazing from an All Star in the NBA. Kemba practiced against USA national team over the summer.

4. Really enjoyed this special group of young kids.

5. Mentioned Pitt's physicality.

6. Defend Big East some more.

What's noticeable is amount of NYC media in the house.

Good interview with Calhoun...
I always thought his voice sounded like Carl Yastrzemski ...

Calhoun is not smooth. He wears his heart on his sleeve. He is one of those from the old school and he still coaches that way.

For the record, he recruited Derrick Williams when the guy was way under the radar. Those recruiting services totally missed Derrick too. They certainly missed Jeremy Lamb big time along with Shabazz Naiper.
Calhoun is a class act and I hope he gets his third title this year.

Its a good thing for the BE that UCONN is still there. 11 teams had a shot and most lost to teams they should have beat. Nobody can complain- everybody had a shot.

NYC will go crazy if Kemba gets POY. The Naismith POY is the one that counts and Ewing was the last one from the BE.

Jimmer hasn't done enough against top level competition. Walker is in that category with a Kevin Durant and other guys who have won and who have done something on the next level. Walker is the NBA draft this year. Barnes, Sullinger, jimmer and all the UK freshmen will be works-in-progress in the NBA.
When it comes down to it, Jimmer is at home watching it on TV, while Kemba Walker is still playing on...
