VCU and Kentucky go down in my birthplace.

VCU scores winning bucket on inbounds play. How does that happen? Was Pat Kennedy working the sideline with Shaka? I can hear the call, "Run Towson! Run Towson!"

Not a Calapari fan but they'll get beat soon. Love seeing the big 10 going down. A lot a blather about the Big East flaming out, deservedly so but it was turning into smarmy self adulatory love fest. 03-puke

I have been a fan for well over a decade of the Rams. Back to the days of Calvin Duncan. They always seem to get decent kids, a decent coach and are often overlooked because they aren't ACC, SEC or BE.

Hey, Bilas. What's your excuse now for vilifying the committee's admitting VCU into the tournament? Admit it. You were 100% wrong.

Bilas says..."“Those arguments for selection are Selection Sunday-only arguments. They have nothing to do with performance. I’ll put it this way: The fact that VCU has played extraordinarily well and won does not make my argument wrong. Similarly, the fact that UAB lost and did not play well does not make my argument against them right.”

He's a tool, I've been over him for quite some time. Just a younger Packer.
Bilas is a funny guy to follow on twitter.

I normally agree with a lot of things he said but that quote is terrible.

I hope VCU and Butler both make it to the Final 4

Well, they have a chance - because the other teams (Kentucky, Carolina, Kansas et al) have lost players to NBA last few years.

Glorified Junior College tournament now.

What else would you expect from an attorney?

Too harsh in my opinion Major.

The flight to "the league" is nothing new nor is the speculative impact of "what if" when determining who would be an upper classman if they had stayed.

I like what I have seen and enjoyed the few games I have caught. The flight of talent is the great equalizer to help offset the disportionate budgets of the BCS types.

Of course, we could all take Ralph Naders advice.

Not to mention a guy who changed the sound of his last name.
A lot of it is coaching too. This is what premium coaching can do with decent talent at smaller schools. Brad Stevens and Shaka Smart get their guys to not only play like they belong, but they play smart for the most part. Two very different styles, and I enjoy watching both immensely.
