Conversed with someone in Big East office. Either Marshall-WVU or WF-Syracuse will be on Sunday during Labor Day weekend. Nothing decided yet as ESPN is continuing to work through moving games to weeknights and trying to help finalize the Big 12 schedule. The natives there are restless because they really can't finalize trips to road games.

ESPN Thursday Night
9/1 - TBA (likely a Big 12 or SEC game)
9/8 - TBA (likely a Big 12 or SEC game)
9/15 - LSU at Mississippi St.
9/22 - NC State at Cincinnati
9/29 - USF at Pittsburgh

10/6 - Cal at Oregon
10/13 - USC at Cal
10/20 - UCLA at Arizona
10/27 - Virginia at Miami
11/3 - Florida St. at Boston College
11/10 - Virginia Tech at Georgia Tech
11/17 - UNC at Virginia Tech
11/24 - TBA (likely Texas-Texas A&M, but that game could be played in Dec.)
12/1 - West Virginia at USF

ESPN Friday night schedule
9/2 - TBA (???)
9/9 - FIU at Louisville folllowed by Missouri-Arizona St.
9/16 - Iowa St. at UConn
9/23 - UCF at BYU
9/30 - Utah St. at BYU
10/7 - Boise St. at Fresno St.
10/14 - TBA (likely a WAC game)
10/21 - Rutgers at UofL
10/28 - BYU vs. TCU (Arlington)
11/4 - TBA (rumored to be USC at Colorado)
11/11 - USF at Syracuse
11/18 - TBA (possibly a WAC or Pac-12 game)
11/25 - Ton of games, including Pitt at West Virginia and Louisville at USF
12/2 - MAC Championship
Matt any idea when ESPN might decide?

Likely next couple weeks. April 1st used to be a date where ESPN tried to have all their weeknight games in place.

The Big 12 is the big one b/c there are discussions about which games go to Thursday and Championship Saturday, particularly on 12/3 since the Big 12 no longer has a championship game. The WAC schedule also just came out yesterday and it sounds like ESPN will make some decisions there.

So I guess the Big East might get screwed out of a few good timeslots on 12/3? I assume we'll still get the games on the ESPN family but we might get moved to nooners, correct?

I think it will be OK. ESPN didn't schedule three Big East games for that weekend, just two. Assume one game on ABC, the other on ESPN. Big 12 probably has a game on ABC, another on ESPN. ACC Championship is expected to remain in primetime on ESPN.

Remember that the SEC/Big East men's basketball challenge has changed to include more games and that starts next year, over 12/1 - 12/3. So ESPN2 might be those games.

Also, C-USA's championship is now on FOX/FSN/FX. Also, both Pac-12 and Big Ten championships are on FOX.

I don't mind games the day after Thanksgiving, but for the last three years, these games have started at 11:00AM. That's rough on those of us who like to really celebreate Thanksgiving.

I love the friday after thanksgiving games, and want them all day. Usually, i'm dragging from all that insulin my pancreas cranked out to process all the food i ate the day before, so just want to veg out. Plus, the girls are all out shopping so i have the whole place to myself.
The other games on Black Friday

Arkansas at LSU (CBS)
Iowa at Nebraska (ABC or ESPN)

Plus one MAC game likely on ESPNU. The MAC scheduled five games for that day and ESPN will select the best one. Expectation is that C-USA should also have a game or two that day.

Remember that ESPN goes batshit with several early season men's basketball tournaments (Orlando, Anaheim and finals of NIT Tip-off).

Definitely one of the best football weekends of the year, with Friday being my favorite day of it.
The biggest issue is, how can you tailgate when the kickoff is 11:00AM? Actually, we just do a lot of post game tailgating, but still. Then there is the possibility of a hangover from Thanksgiving night itself. That is where my gripe comes from.
To get in the proper mood to tailgate at 11am, you start the party at midnight, keep going right through the game, and for a long time afterward. Don't you remember?
Just have a Steak N Egg tailgate. And grab a few drinks. I don't mind the super early games to tell you the truth. It allows me to get out of Pittsburgh by 3:30/4PM and get to the bars to watch the other games real quick.

I am a grad student at Wisconsin and we had four home games last year that started at 11am. We never have a problem getting plenty of drinking in before the game starts. 02-13-banana
B10 tailgaters are top shelf....When we have a nooner at Cuse I'm lucky to get anyone there before 830am. Sigh.......

Yup we've done some creative things with breakfast tailgates from your standard eggs, bacon, pork roll and bagels to breakfast burritos to just having non-breakfast food for breakfast. Usually do mimosas and stuff like that for alcoholic beverages. And I'll take a few Saturday nooners to half or better of the games coming on Thursdays and Fridays not on Labor Day or Thanksgiving weekends. And since I'm in MA for Thanksgiving 99% of the time not even that weekend do I want that. This past year I skipped the Noon game on Black Friday and just watched it up there. If it were at 3:30 I was going to get on the Acela that morning and get back down.

Breakfast Tailgates RULE!!!!!!

Biscuits & Gravy, Grilled Sausages, Egg/Sausage/Cheese Casseroles, Mexican Breakfast Burritos, Pancakes, Bacon, Bloody Marys and on and on and on....

Who the heck would ever complain about an AM tailgate????

Big Ten teams (in Central Time Zones) do it almost every weekend of the year...as numerous Big Ten teams kickoff at 11 AM local time for Noon Eastern TV Games.

For other teams...AM tailgates (11 AM or Noon kickoffs) don't happen quite often but when they do...they are a blast and most fans go ALL OUT for them!
It doesn't matter what time the kickoff is in Morgantown. The party happens before, during, and after the game. The location of the party is of secondary consideration, and it can move around considerably...

Same with Big 12. Usually one game a week is at 11am CT on FSN. SEC too has 11:21am kick times for TV.
I guess because in my neck of the woods, the bars don't close until 4:00 AM. So when you don't get home until 4:30, then have to sleep then turn around and get back to drinking by 9:00AM, it is rough.

That said, I suppose you are right, because on the morning of the Kentucky Derby (and Oaks Day the day before), tailgating for infield seats starts at about 6:00, which is the same time the bars close the night before.
