In no real suprise, ESPN is reporting that Bruce Pearl will be fired today as Tennessee's coach. Andy Katz speculates that VCU's Shaka Smart will be a leading candidate to replace him.
I guess Tennessee finally figured out that the NCAA was going to throw them under the bus if they kept Pearl as their coach. If there is one thing that the NCAA will really nail a coach and/or program for is lying to them. The Ohio State football coach better take notice of what my be down the line for him.
