Kentucky, per his twitter... ugh!
imagine that $$$$$

You are correct, sir: $$$$$ has everything to do with it.
Has Kentucky even offered him? Besides didn't they just sign 2 Power Forwards and it seems to me that they would be running out of scholarships soon. How many one and dones do they really have this year? 1 definite in Jones but Brandon Knight? Doron Lamb? they already signed 4 guys so how many more could they possibly sign? It seems the logical choice for this guy would be to team up with Tarik and these young guards here at Memphis and be a starter on a final four quality team rather than ride Calipari's pine for a couple years.
Screw that.

If a guy is going to base his decision on how many followers he picks up on twitter then screw that.
I don't believe that he's going to base his decision on the amount of Twitter followers he has. It's a game; see how many followers you can "collect".

It's not just a sports-thing, it's a newspaper/organization-thing, it's an entertainer-thing, it's certainly a high-schooler-thing.

You're right, Kentucky has signed two 5-star PF's; they are also recruiting B. Anderson and Perry Ellis, two more 5-star PF's. To me, it's obvious that Simpson is a Plan B option for them. Does HE see that though, and does it bother him enough to turn him off? Who knows?

Ironically enough, MEMPHIS, KU and UK are after two of the same big-men; Simpson and Ellis. CJP is certainly running with the Big Dogs here; Memphis basketball is still definitely on the map.

The glitz/glamour of KU and UK are undeniable. KU may have some openings on their front-line, depending on what the Morris twins do. If they don't go to the League, no way Simpson signs there. That makes it between UK and MEMPHIS. Also, watch out for UCONN; hall-of-fame coach, glamour of playing in the Big East, tradition-rich school...

I don't know what he'll do; hopefully you weren't reading this post to find out that out. I trust CJP to do the best that he can, and if it is to be, then it shall be.
I'm not sure this young man really knows where he will sign.

IF he has any sense, he will not make his decision based on the number of twitter followers.

KENSUCKY always flirts with several top players in each position even when they have limited openings.

We shouldn't get TOO excited about Mr. Stan . . . of course, CJP may have his sights set on another big up North maybe.

If Stan cannot see he will "ride the pine for x" as Jason80 puts it . . . IMHO he is not smart enough to play as a Tiger.

Time will tell . . . anyway we got a game on Friday to put our attention to 02-13-banana02-13-banana02-13-banana
Screw this kid... Go play for Kensucky but don't go crying if your coach bolt to the NBA...

I am glad you dont represent what most Tiger fans think... All he did was play to all that "will" him that Kentucky was #1. I am sure it is true at this point. However lots of things happen in recruiting. Lets be patient and wait this thing out. We lost Gardner to Ms State becuase he was worried about playing time. We will not lose Simpson becuase of this... He obviously has a better shot of playing time at Memphis next year.
I can think of a lot of things to say about this, but for now, good luck to the kid and I hope he makes a good decision for himself
It's still a process and I wouldn't think too much of a Twitter posting. The bluebloods entering the fray definitely lowers our chances significantly, but it is what it is. At this point nobody knows what their returning roster will look like a month from now, so anything can happen.

Two words why he should go to Kentucky: Daniel Orton

Two words why he shouldn't go to Kentucky: Eloy Vargas

It's his choice and being a junior college transfer, he can't afford to make a mistake. It's on you Mr. Simpson, but please do not get in Cal's doghouse, ask Eloy Vargas!
I don't even see the Twitter post that says this?!?

18 more words why he shouln't go to Kentucky: Kareem Cooper, Matt Simpkins, Hashim Bailey, Kelly Wise, Earl Barron, Simplice Njoya, Modibo Diarra, Almany Thierro, Pierre Niles.

I never understand that...So you are saying he is not good enough for UK but we would love to have him...
Kinda like Bledsoe rode the pine at Kentucky.
it's ok to admit we're jealous. it builds character.. haha

that said, things have a way of working out in the long run if the program stays away from cheesy. cal knows it's easy to be sleazy

I'm glad that you don't work for me. You'd never be able to manage dealing with our customers and employees.

Do your customers tweet every time they fart or have a random thought?

My thoughts exactly.
