We played as hard as we could. Lot of ifs. IF Dickey doesn't hit the three at the end of regulation. IF Solo and Gus don't foul out. IF Matt hits a few threes. IF Chucky doesn't lose the ball at the end of the game. But give credit to Ashville. They were as athletic as any team I've seen in the Belt this year, and Dickey is a big time player. He could play for a lot of BCS teams. We had a great run. We accomplished what none of us could imagine. Winning four games in our tournament to make the NCAA tournament for the first time in 21 years. And we put on a great opening game in the tournament. I see that game as a stepping stone to some very good recruits in the April signing. So we now change our focus to our women's team and hope for better results Sunday. Congratulations to the Trojans for their hard work and accomplishments this season. It had to end sometime. I guess it was destined to be tonight.03-hissyfit

If Matt hits a few threes, we win easily. My son's girlfriend was screaming "why are you giving it Mouzy" for the last shot of game- I still thought he would knock it down. Couldn't have run a better play for the win. Once it went to OT without Solo, realistically we were done. Tough loss. I usually don't miss an NCAA game. Not sure I can watch at all at this point. I guess it was "fun". Doesn't feel fun at the moment.
I would have loved for Matt to have one more chance to make the winning shot. The odds were certainly in his favor since practically nothing went in for him tonight. But he contributed so much to our program through his four years, and has to be an inspiration to any young man who wants to work hard enough to become a D1 player. I'll take a walk on like Matt Mouzy every year. Hate to see him go, but he'll be part of Trojan history also with his great three point shooting throughout his career. Unfortunately it just didn't happen tonight, but we still could have won the game with a few breaks. I think I'll retire to Heartbreak Hotel for the night.

If we didn't have two tunrovers in the final minute, we might have won it also. Matt couldn't hit a lick tonight. He couldn't have scored if he'd spent the night at the Chicken Ranch. Bless his heart, he's hit a bunch of them for us over the years. I sure wanted him to hit that shot in regulation and be the hero. He deserved it. But, you can't expect to do it every game.
