selection committee are. Don't think it's just coincidence they pair two mid majors rather than give both a chance to knock off a team from the big conferences. I get so sick of the way those things are set up to do everything they can to prevent mid major teams from winning against the big schools. Our women deserved better. I guess knocking off Georgia Tech last year scared some of them, so they fixed it where we couldn't do that in the first round this year.03-nutkick03-nutkick03-nutkick

The Phoenix knocked someone out last year as well. Can't recall who.
My point exactly!

We really couldn't asked for a better deal. Close to Little Rock. No home team at the site. We couldn't go to Shreveport because of the seeding of LaTech.
Isn't Waco the home of Baylor, who also happen to be playing there if I saw correctly?

To be fair to the selection committee, any time a ###-major is a 5 seed, they are almost assuredly going to face another ###-major in the opening round. You simply don't get Power-6 schools as 12 seeds or worse. Candy was the lowest Power-6 school at a 10 seed.
Am I wrong about us playing in Waco? I had to leave just as our seeding was announced, and thought it said we were playing in Waco, but in the paper it mentioned Wichita, Kansas. I'm definitely wrong on one of them. Seems that I get more things wrong than right as I progress in maturity! (Nice way of saying, "getting to be an old coot").
