Hawk has frequently gone small to get different players more time like, Howard playing power forward this year. Next year with Whittington's return we could go big and force other teams into difficult situations to match up with us: play Ward, Howard, Hutcheson, Whittington, and Stainbrook.

Then change every thing by subbing Douglas for Whittington or Stainbrook, suddenly it's a four around one and teams have to sub and adjust to a very different set.

And before anyone says that Howard won't play guard, or Whittington won't play power forward I'll simply point to the fact that they already have in games.

Where is Whitfield?

Getting a well deserved breather. Honestly the thread is "Go Big?" and Whittington has three inches on Whitfield...

I thought you were saying that those 5 should be the starting line up. besides, I think Whitfield's mass makes up for that.

Yeah not starting, the only way I see next years starters being different is if Howard takes Hutcheson's spot but I doubt it.

Sure put Whitfield in at 4 and Dean and Whittington can play both 4 and 5, any way you want to do it, it will still cause opposing teams incredible headaches trying to defend that type of line up.

Agree.

Especially if Whittington has ramped up his game a notch, which I'm pretty confident he'll be twice the player he was as a freshman.

We'll have lots of options.
