due to Solo. Now as some know, I have not been the biggest fan of Solo, not because I don't think he's a fine player, but because he hasn't chosen to involved others in the offense enough. Some would point to his assists, of which he has a reasonable amount, but on the majority of occasions during the regular season he attempted to try and do too much himself, which in some cases didn't work out very well.

But in the tournament, and especially last night, he didn't quite force as many things (just a few times), but he made passes to others that resulted in scores. His great talent is driving to the basket and drawing fouls (when the officials are calling them), plus he can shoot the jump shot. So when he drives, other teams have to collapse on him to stop him from scoring which leaves another player open on the wing.

For two years, I've hardly ever seen him use that talent to kick it out for an open shot, but last night he was doing some of that, which resulted in some baskets which were crucial. If he will continue to use his talents to get others open and give them the ball quickly where they can get the shot off, we have a good chance to win tonight. If he decides to force bad shots, we don't. I really think he's beginning to see that he can be the leader and star, while at the same time using his obvious talents to help others to contribute to winning. So go Solo.
If we win tonight, you get to continue to show your talent on national TV. Nothing would make me happier than seeing you succeed as our team succeeds.04-cheers
