Normally when a coach or athlete tells me "we didn't want it enough" in a post-game interview it goes in one ear and out the other. Not this time.

Excellent column as usual but wish you had pursued harder why they didn't try the zone.
Cronin gets his team revved up for Louisville and Georgetown. Revved up like a Mack truck going 100 mph. They win both of those games and Cronin takes his foot off the gas and claims "we're in" after beating Georgetown.
Kind of hard to get the Mack truck back up to 100 mph after saying something stupid like that. Doesn't surprise me they were lacksadaisical. He may have gone off on them to remotivate them, but no surprise it didn't work.
Newsflash for Cronin, when you get it going, don't let off of them. Basketball coaching class 101.
