You know I try to stay positive and I know Steve has got some kids coming that will provide some much needed height but this is just a joke.

The fans, the few that are left, deserve better than this.01-lauramac203-weeping05-mafia
A "VERY" bad joke.

DI, are you Bipolar and just haven't told me? Getting high after a win, and low after every loss, is going to drive you crazy following a .500 team.

At least LRTrojan has been steadfastly consistent for quite awhile now. He's definitely not Bipolar when it comes to our coaching situation.
No Micky, we should be in the games not just getting blow the F out. You got to do better than that.

Yes, we played terrible. But it happens to everyone, even National Champion and #1 Duke-

St. John’s came out and scored the first two baskets of the second half to take its biggest lead of the game, 50-25 1:04 into the second half.

St. John’s had doubled Duke and the Red Storm managed to score enough the rest of the way to keep the Blue Devils at bay.

**** happens. Just doesn't make sense to get upset over one game. UALR fans have every right, as do UAF fans, to complain about their coach. But base it on the "body of work", not just a "bad loss" or a "good win". Road wins are hard to come by on every level. Ask Calipari how he's enjoyed playing on the road this year.

I don't think anyone is basing their out look on the program on one game. I think everyone is looking at the body of work.

I am not saying to get rid of Steve. I expect Steve to fix it!

Just seems like **** has happened a bunch this year.
USA 13
ASU 11
FAU 17
UNT 12
Akron 14
Rice 11
Ole Miss 14
NuDuke 34
ORU 26
St Bona 13 / 13
We will see. I know Steve is back next year with WN and will have his chance to not get blown the F out so much but he has to produce next year. No more a recruit is coming to save us. No more saying we did not have a pg/big/etc...

Produce or someone else gets a shot.

Scotto, you have zeroed right in on why the fans are really getting fed up. The Trojans are currently 13-14 (Division I only as the other two don't count). In that sub .500 record, 11 out of the 14 losses have been by double digits. I fully anticipate that another double digit loss will be added this weekend to make it 12 out of 15. That is definitely a whole lot of **** happening.

I cannot and will not argue with you there. We were terrible last year. We've turned it around this year to the point that we will finish right around .500. We are an average Sun Belt team. I think we should expect better next year.

How many years does it take to "fix it?" Since I gave up on him "fixing it" about three years ago, I have come to the realization that he "ain't" capable of fixing it. Therefore it is about three years past time for making a change. Folks if I were a betting man, and I'm not, I'd bet that he won't win it next year, even if the saviour turns out to actually be a saviour. Good thing he's not Mr. Goodwrench. He'd be out of a job for sure.
It's obvious it's not fixed. One man is in charge of fixing it. And that's our AD. He didn't hesitate to make changes in the women's basketball program and the men's baseball program. What is taking him so long to make the changes to move our men's basketball program back to respectibility? We've had as many losing seasons in the last eight years as winning seasons. That's just not acceptable.
Do we have to pull a "Wisconsin" and storm the Stephens Center? (That's a joke). That tooth can only ache for so long. At some time you just have to pull it!

There's simply no comparing the state of the baseball/women's basketball programs to men's basketball. The baseball could never make the Sun Belt tourney. The women were the worst team in the Belt.

I fixed it
It's easy to get discouraged by the last few years and I have been really dissapointed in our recruiting for a good while. If we had kept the status quo and signed our 3 6'5 250 pound junior college bigs and our 6'0 defensive minded juco guards I would be ready to throw in the towel. But with Chucky and Gus in this class plus De Andre and the class we signed next year at least there is hope for the future. But like Kerry said, after next season there are no more excuses, it's time to entertain us and win the Sun Belt Tournament. This year is what it is, we've brought a knife to a gun fight again. Hopefully next year is the start of something big!

I see a couple of pieces on this team and the hope/promise of the bigs plus WN. If that don't get us to the SBC finals, the program has to go in another direction.

I know that sounds harsh but +100K jobs require you to produce. Steve has had 7 years (probably a cool million in gross pay). I want more than this for a million dollars no matter what time frame it is paid in.
Kinda puts it all in perspective.

I fixed the number of years Steve has been the coach for you.
