As I predicted, U$C appears destined to stay in the Pac 12 and NOT move to the MAC.

People in and out of the program are stating the Trojans are happy staying in the Pac 12.

Despite the fact that the MAC offered a welcoming home to schools w/ directional names, U$C appears to remain in the conference where they've been a member since 1922.

This should end those hopes...
Damn. We were SO close.
Of course USC wouldn't come to the MAC. As they are a small private Christian school, USC wouldn't fit in very well.

But Notre Dame is still in the running.
I've been an advocate for adding the University of Pheonix Online to the MAC for a long time now. The folks from Southern Cal probably wouldn't appreciate the weather in MAC land too much anyway. If we're going to bring in a West coast school, we should get one that's used to the cold climate. I'm thinking University of Alaska, Anchorage might fit.

+1 It appears that once again the good doctor's prediction is right on the money. You nailed it again Torch, dead center. Congrats!!!04-rock
I won't believe this until there is an official press release from USC squelching the rumor.

University of Phoenix has the best football stadium, hands down.
I have inside information from someone in the "know" that the MAC is looking to add MIT, Dartmouth, and Columbia. Right now the MAC is waiting for those three schools to put my emphasis on academics. Until these three schools make the top three in the country according to US news rankings then no formal invitation will come. Both schools desperately want to be associated with the academic and sports elite that are currently members of the MAC. ESPN has gone on record to say that the addition of the schools would bring the MAC a tv contract in the upwards of $100 billion a year. The MAC Commissioner has said that the money isnt worth lowering the academic profile of the MAC to accomodate these schools.

You know, I am hearing Central Connecticut State is on our radar too. It is in keeping with the directional name tradition.
Who'da thunk we'd miss KitKAt?
No word from North Carolina or West Virginia?
