Does CMD go after the unc point guard that will transfer after this season? We are going to need a experince PG, I know we have Quincy but I just see him as a backup. So what do you all think?
I see K.C. Whitaker being the future PG for the Blazers if things play out right, not sure who would play the pure point next year.
Unless we lose someone we will be getting a big.
I'm not sold at all that Taylor can't be the starter. He has shown great things to be a true freshmen.
Even if we get Drew he would have to sit out a year.
I'm pretty excited for Quincy as the pg of the future. Good athleticism, decent jumper, and a pass first guy. I think he definitely carries the torch from AJ no problem. Big is much more necessary

I think QT is a solid shooter, defender, and he takes care of the ball. What I haven't seen out of him so far is any explosiveness or creativity off the dribble. Can he penetrate the lane and create opportunities for his team-mates? Not saying he can't but so far he hasn't shown that part of his game.
Why isn't the recruiting a little more public? I don't follow it much but I do hear about schools chanting a sought after recruits name when he comes on a visit. Seems like the fans getting behind the recruits would help interest a bit. Just my 2 cents.

This was CMD's previous approach and it has blown up in his face. I think he now keeps it more quiet because of past mistakes

+1 There was a time folks around here said AJ wasn't going to be capable of stepping in for PDIII.
Where Drew is concerned, it is probably more about where HE wants to go than who WANTS him. I would guess that by now, his new destination has already been notified of his interest. NCAA restrictions may require that a school say nothing until he has announced his decision.

Eh, even KC's coach at Fishburne was quoted as saying he's playing PG but that's not really his natural/best position. At 6'4" he seems to be more of a natural SG who will also be able to grab 3-4 rebounds. Hopefully, he'll be a good backup PG when needed there.

You probably don't hear the schools themselves talking about a recruit coming for a visit because that would be a violation. What you probably hear about is the media fawning over a recruit and what schools he is visiting.

Since UAB is below the radar nationally, they won't get that much attention. Locally, the media doesn't know UAB recruits. Those players just magically appear.
