Of the two, I'd rather have Williams.
It seems that Williams has withdrawn his name from consideration

Correct me if am I wrong on this item, but I thought the Mike Munchek was still in consideration for the head coaching position? I know it is still a requirement to interview some minority coaches under the Rooney Rule in the end, however it appears that they are really go to take their time to make a decision.
I think they are waiting until after the super Bowl, so they can offer the job to Dom Capers. I don't know if it will work out, but the guy is a defensive genius.
It wouldn't surprise me if they hire Munchak for one year as an 'interim' coach until they decide to keep him long term or replace him from outside the club.
What I thought Gruden and Cowher would be drooling over this job
I hope that's sarcasm. Not a lot of talent on this Titans roster. GM doesn't spend money. No QB. I'd pass.

A lot of it
Quote:Titans expected to pick Munchak

ARLINGTON, Texas — The Titans are expected to select Mike Munchak as their new head coach early this week, possibly as early as Monday.

After interviewing four candidates for the job last week, Titans Executive Vice President Steve Underwood and General Manager Mike Reinfeldt spent the weekend discussing the candidates.

I expected the Titans to do better. Hope it works out for the organization.
Cheap arse managment!
lol
CJ better get those legs warmed up because he's gonna get 45 touches a game next season.

Hopefully I'm wrong but I don't expect a big change in offensive philosophy which is a damn shame. More running and kicking field goals = more mediocrity. Hopefully they fire 'Dinger and Munchak brings in an new school OC and lets him do his thing. At the very least, if they keep Heimerdinger, then make him open up the playbook a little.

I don't see how it's so hard to figure out. The NFL is a passing league now, I don't think there is any debating that. Passing opens up the run game and doesn't allow the opposite team to stack 8 in the box. CJ will be better, Britt will be better, the QB will be better. The sooner these fools in Nashville figure this out, the sooner they will start winning..big. Until then, whenever that is..probably never, enjoy your 8-8 peak years.

Rob

Tough to pass when you don't have a QB. I'm going to be really disappointed if they don't go after Kolb or even get a guy like McNabb for a few years while they prep a young QB.

Most Titans fans I know really want Kolb! 03-thumbsup
Fired Dinger today! HUGE step in the right direction. Also interviewing Bruce Matthews for offensive line coach.

If Munchak makes good OC/DC hires, I'll be back on the Titans wagon again, atleast for 1 more season while I see if he's gonna be a Fisher clone or not.

The next question for me is who will be the next quarterback their at Nashville now that the VY era will be gone whenever the labor agreement is finally put pen to paper.
Also heavily courting Jerry Gray. Looks like he may be coming to Tennessee after all.
