Did anybody really expect Finebaum to not play to the Bammer's of the world?

If speaking the truth means downing UAT by telling what happened yesterday--then I respect Finebaum a bit more.

However I can count the number of times Finebaum has been negative towards UAT on one finger.

making fun of PCG's comment that NFC is "best coach in the world" and saying wasn't aware of any discontent with this hire

said GA contacts say NFC is lying about having quit drinking, unless he quit yesterday

repeatedly calling out Marginson's lies - played press conference tape and called him a liar about ten times

calling NFC out on pretty much admitting that he talked to BOT and played tape of him saying that he started making phone calls to try to get the jobe when he found out it was open

questioning why Rush wasn't called

If he is bashing the UAB administration, I can't see where that would be any different than what many hear are doing.

He wasnt too high on NC and let Karle ramble a bit about UAB missing a great opportunity to hire Rush,,, blah blah blah.. Karle says that tonights sports cast will focus entirely on the UAB situation.

But I haven't heard him once call out the board.

How about getting one of the trustees on and see what they say as well.

He is just as scared of the BoT as the people he is hammering.

You know what though... I don't too much care who he is bashing as long as he is discussing the story and feeding the fire.


BTW, STILL no official statement from the BOT on any of this.

Good gracious! The show is dogging UAB.

Finebaum is bashing Callaway personally for the third day...this is pretty awful! I can't believe Callaway's lawyer isn't all over him for libel and slander.

Mainly bashing the administration and the hire itself as well as the lies about BOT influence, laced with his typical comment or two insulting the program. Best to listen when BTR posts the sound file.
