I just want to say that I am sick and tired of this board bashing Calloway. First off Watson Brown is gone. Most dont remember two weeks ago when you were about to cry (
) because he was still running the program. We don't have to deal that anymore. A new legacy has already began. Secondly, we are getting what most people wanted. Few people wanted Pat Sullivan to stay because we wanted a completely new change. Look at what we have with Calloway, we have a whole new staff. Is that not what we wanted? I was/am that person, and I saw most of you were in agreement. Last but not least, stop griping about him and uplift the Blazer morale. Get on here and speculate which coordinators he will bring in. Discuss the ideas for offenses. Discuss the changes on defense. We are team that needs support. We need to be excited about the, even if you dont like him, because he is the new coach. Things will not change and things will not get better if we do not support this program, players, and most of all the new coach.

He said that he was considering several people that he had known for a long time.
My guess is that it indicates a staff with a definite $EC flavor. I'll leave it to others to decide whether that's a good thing or a bad thing.
Jr UAB09 - I understand your frustrations, and support your optimistic view, however you must exercise some patience in your stumping for Callaway and the new regime.
This board is a place of venting and healing as much as it is a place for renewed optimism and hope for the future.
This has been a frustrating and painful process for most long time Blazer fans, and we are only one day into Callaway's tenure. Give it a week or so and let people get used to the idea and find their own positives.
Chastizing (spelling?) those who vent here isnt the answer. If he wins 8 games next year and we are still roasting him...then you can be the voice of reason. Right now you are just the voice of that annoying guy who doesnt understand what other people are dealing with.

Are you kidding?...I know exactly what people are dealing with. I wanted Jimbo Fisher more than I could believe. I'm not jumping for joy about how the situation has been handled. I wish UAB could get away from the BoT just as much as anyone else. But what is it going to do for us to gripe. People are on here right now pouting because of the way the situation has went. There is now nothing that can be done to change the situation. Hunt down the trustees! I dont care...just dont make things worse around here than they already are. It is already said and done.

I appreciate your intensity and your fervor, but you might want to be more aware of the positions of others, sometimes they run deeper than they must initially seem.

Then it would be a brothel. Those are typically clean and well-regulated. Whorehouses tend to be disease-ridden, pest-filled hovels run by drunken, power-hungry individuals.
I think the CNC rhetoric has worn down on the board, and we're gearing up to focus everything on the BOT. If we can cleave them away from UAB, then we'll be happy because we can make our own choices (if thats keep or fire CNC in the future, then so be it).
