about 30 minutes, and then there talent level enabled FAU to pull away the last 10 minutes or so. Our guys hung with them longer than I thought they would. Gotta give the Trojans credit for their effort, and I thought they gave a good account of themselves in a televised game for a change. The team doesn't have anything to hang their heads about. I thought for about the first 30 minutes we might hang in there and win it.

I see progress and hope building blocks on this team.

Our guards can now score, and shoot the three well, but we don't have the bigs to be competing with the teams that do have them.

I thought we played very well. We had like 7 turnovers. FAU is the most talented team I've seen this year. We would have been up at half if Solo and Chucky hit their free throws, which they typically, do. The arena was close to full- one side and one end zone were completely filled with students who never sat down the whole game. Best atmosphere I've witnessed in person at a Sun Belt game. I think it effected our free throw shooters. Solo didn't have time to think on his 3 point shots, but had plenty of time on his free throws. No doubt they are better than us, especially up front, but it wouldn't shock me to see us beat them in Hot Springs.

The bigs really are the difference, I agree. Money rebounds and hit his free throws and Courtney can rebound but neither can just be feed the ball down low.

I think we win when Bails can get going. The pace of the game yesterday would probably be a little faster than any of our bigs could play at other than Courtney.

There seems to be some building blocks on this team for next year and I still think we will win our share of games.
We're still on track to win the home games and split the roadies. That'll be good enough to get a bye in Hot Springs, which is one of the goals. Getting to the final game of the SBCT is the next goal.

Getting a bye and making the finals are my goals too

I would say winning the "first game" would be our next goal.04-cheers

I think we have a very good chance to finish 2nd in the West, and with some luck we could even win the division, although that would take a lot of help from some other teams, and great play from here on out from our team. But 2nd is certainly a possibility.04-cheers

A second place finish would mean playing FAU in the semifinal. Beating them will be a tall task- I think they are clearly the best team in the league- if they are not they are certainly playing like they are right now.
They sure looked salty yesterday.
Well on a rematch in Hot Spings we sure want have to worry about their crowd
Great point. And White had a career game against us. He just didn't seem to ever miss a shot. But they are very long, and seemingly got a lot of second chances. It seemed that they got a lot of rebounds and put backs. We can't allow that to happen if we play them again.

Agree. FAU was hot, and we hung with them most of the game anyway. I was disappointed in some of our defensive lapses. Solo and Matt both had some bad moments. But overall we did pretty well. Bails didn't perform, but Montrelle looked very good except for foul trouble.
