Full Version: Have we reached a tipping point?

I've seen dozens of UAT fans on various UAT forums expressing anger about the BoT and their dealing with UAB. Many of these, granted, are not the big, crazy Bammer fans we're used to hearing from... these are the more rational ones.

I think we might have something here, because I've seen several that have threatened to have nothing to do with UAT over this.

The BoT has stirred the hornets nest, and it appears that the hornets are really angry this time.
Let's hope so. We just want to be able to control our own destiny, that is all.
Every person in this state (or outside the state who knows what's going on) uniformly supports UAB on this one. That in itself provides a silver lining to this dark cloud. The BOT has gone too far. The fiscal irresponsibility that UAT has shown since Fran left is blatant and stunning. To argue now that UAB must be fiscally responsible in hiring a new coach is beyond ironic, and every Auburn fan and UAT hater knows it. Every reasonable UAT fan (i.e., the ones who might have actually attended a school of some kind) knows it too.

Jimbo Fisher would have been a good, solid hire. But if this fiasco illuminates the heavy-handed, unfair way that we are treated, it might do more good than harm. As long as we don't end up with Neil Callaway. We need to make noise about that. Give us a young, unproven, energetic coach before that retread loser. Say Hatcher...at least it provides hope...and then this entire disaster may work out for the best in the long run. We can still support our school either way.

You know...either that...or we could start our own militia. I'm okay with either idea.
