If this is the case, we need to stop mentioning Rush Propst. I hope no one here really believes he is on the short list as HC candidate. He might be considered as OC, but that depends on who is named head coach.
Rush talking about the UAB HC and Auburn and Alabama's OC jobs is his attempt to get radio and television to talk about him and if you are in Birmingham, it is working. Because he doesn't have a big time agent, this is all he can do to get his name out.
Please no more threads with Propst in the title.
He said this morning that he had not been contacted, and no, he is not on our short list.
The funny thing is, he has asked out of his contract with the Hoover school system. It looks like that he will be somewhere else next year, that doesnt mean that he will be here!
Rush is NOT on UAB's " short list". he could be at UAB as a coordinator though but I will be shocked to see him at head coach knowing what we know at this point.
It seems that all that initial talk about him to UAB is maybe starting to wind down a little. I wonder if he's regretting any of his comments on the state of football in Alabama over the weekend.

Heard him on JOX this morning,,, Trying to sound like a more mellow, insightful, appealing persona than he has projected heretofore.. and talking himself up as a candidate for UAB or whomever wants his enormous talents. Gawd, he sounds so full of himself it gags me. I didnt say his name either :)

Man, this board needs to start ringing some bells!
I suspect that as for as information is going. the lazy media is getting their "scoops" off this board, whose posters many times, are turning around and reporting what the media is saying.
For example. I mention we really should look at Lou Holtz. Lazy reporter sees the post and decides to report that Lou Holtz is being mentioned for the UAB job. Someone reads his report and posts "Hey, Lazy reporter is saying UAB is looking at Lou Holtz"
Next thing you know, Lou Holtz is denying any contact or interest in the UAB job, which to many is code for "He's about to be hired"
I think we learned how little CBS42 cares about UAB athletics. The names they connected to UAB were the 4 on the footballscoop website.
Seriously, I've heard someone say Swinney before, but Calloway? Where the hell did that come from?
