The West teams expected to rotate on the schedule are Houston, Tulane and Tulsa, with two of those to be in Birmingham. However, that -- at least publically -- was not yet set in stone. The conference was supposedly revisiting conference scheduling and considering a change in the format to have a "designated rival" from the opposite division. This would be to placate Tulane and Southern Miss, who favor this format.

However, UCF announced their schedule today and they rotated all three West opponents, so I would expect the rest of the league teams will do so as well.
so if UAB gets a western conference rival, any idea who that would be?

Knowing the CUSA office, it'd probably be UTEP.

Wouldn't doubt it. Since USM would get Tulane, us and Memphis are the next 2 closest teams to El Paso. And you KNOW that they're not going to do that to Memphis.
Saw this on FSU board with a date for the UAB game. Take it for what it's worth.

Correct. UAB plays at the Big House in Ann Arbor in 2008. The exact date has not been set.

I stand corrected, the UAB v UofM game for 2008 has been taken off UofM's future schedules list.

What !? No Troy State Trollgins? That only leaves us with one winnable game for next season, (Memphis)!

Oh wait never mind, Watson is gone. We will 4-5 at least if we get Bonzo the Chimp or better to coach us.

With a big play threat like Webb at QB and our current backs and receivers (plus Coon) I kind of like our chances next year, without even knowing who the coach will be. Although the O-line and D will be down experience wise, it's nothing GOOD coaching can't fix.
