We can't complain about this team's shooting this year. 39.5% from the arc, which is second in the Belt only to Denver. At the same time we are 3rd in 3-point % defense. Good combination. Now if we can just get the inside going . . . . .
You are absolutely right. Our inside scoring is practically non existent. We depend on three or four small players to score most of our points. That's normally not going to win you a lot of games, unless your inside players are blocking a lot of shots on the other end, which ours traditionally haven't, as well as scorng some points. That's been a weakness in our program since Porter helped recruit Jake Yancy and Too Tall. However I have high hopes for Gus Leeper, and James White might turn out to be one of those shot blockers like Jeremy Evans, whom we nearly signed, so I was told.
