Troy pounded a team that Sagarin rates much higher than Troy . . . ok, give me all your lame excuses why Sagarin's are a good thing . . . 03-lmfao

87 Ohio A = 66.00
112 Troy A = 60.28

Go Troy . . . Go SBC !!! 04-cheers
Lol look at the other match ups for the MAC vs. SBC, MAC has 5-7 teams ahead of MTSU

You make my point for me. The MAC is way over rated; you guys start the year with a cupcake schedule of 1-AAs and then go on to pound each other racking up unimpressive wins as you have done for decades now. Your total win column looks good on paper, but it has little substance except for one or maybe two MAC teams. 04-chairshot
well the SBC doesn't win non conferance games so what can you do lol. The computers aren't wrong tho, when calculating victory of margin and Strength of schedule the MAC comes out on top. When teams at the top of your conferance are beating WKU by 7 at home it hurts ya in the computer polls.

if the entire MAC played OOC schedules like we did every year they wouldn't win much OOC either. go take yourself far far away from our board and talk with people that sympathize with you..... like LaTech fans or rocks or something. as far as beating WKU by 7 it happens every once in a while to everyone i'm sure.
I will talk on this board and defend the MAC until Toledo and Miami lose, and if they dont then I will be on here until bowl season is over. But you guys get some free shots if either lose! Come on have a little fun let your feelings out about the MAC! How much do you really hate us!

and the SBC does not lose to 1-AAs like the MAC does either . . . 03-lmfao

Are you blind, or did you actually attend Toledo?
SO the whole entire system is flawed if uspets occur?
Dude teams ranked in the 100's can beat teams 99 and below!!!!!
But!!!!! because of the teams that Troy played, and how many points they beat teams by, and how much they won games at home they are lower than OU! It doesn't mean that OU is better every night on the field. Washington State is in the top 100 and they won what 2 games? They played the #3 schedule in the country that is why their losses are justified! I think Troy or NIU or Toledo or WKU who cares, many teams could beat Washington State but they play any teams that in high conferances so they stay in the top 100
Troy didn't "upset" Ohio. According to Sagarin they did. But according to Vegas, and anyone with two eyes and a brain, Troy was favored. They also won by 27 pts. They ran their "NASCAR" all over Ohio, and even coasted to the finish.

His formula is obviously flawed.
I am not saying that that game was an upset but even bigger upsets happen so dont complain about the system. All you can do is win and not worry about the conputer rankings. A few upsets over big schools and some woopings on teams you should beatand Troy will move up.

Cross that one off the list. . .
I agree great job to Troy! 8-5 is a great season. You are on your way to becoming a noteable non AQ team, your basically there.

Work on your grammar and you'll be on your way to becoming a notable NCAAbbs poster.

I couldn't care any less about the MAC actually. Every once and a while there is a great player in the league that's fun to watch, like Big Ben, Garrett Wolfe or Dan Lefevour, but in general, there's not a league in the country I wouldn't rather watch on televion than the MAC. I guess that will change once the MWC is done raiding the WAC, but until then there's not a league in the country that does less for me as a fan than the MAC.

One of the few things I've really enjoyed about playing the MAC this year is the occasional remark I've seen made that our game against the Redhawks will be a "good preview of how we might look in the MAC"...I would give anything to be in our AD's office when he was taking that phone call from the MAC commissioner. There was a time when we might have considered making that move, but that time is long gone.

Looks like the SB teams made a nice run with the bowl wins. PAC-10 over the SEC. First time the SEC has not finished first in a while.

Said the farm hand to the Knight. 03-snooty

I wouldn't shout advice or hollow praise from your straw tower Toledo fan, there's a Trojan with a torch at the bottom.

RealTimeRPI seems to have nailed it.: http://realtimerpi.com/football/ncaaf_Men.html

UNI - #27
Miami OH - 41
Ohio - 54 (must have done some damage early on)
Toledo - 56
Troy - 59
FIU - 70

That seems about right....afterall, we did lose to MTSU. 03-nutkick
