Similar problem. Is there a webcast anywhere?
Classic UAB second rate fiasco. Thanks athletic department for affiliating us with such a great broadcasting outfit.

If Cory Provost falls in the woods with nobody around does he really make a sound?
I was at the game and told John Gentille (sp?) about not being able to hear the pregame on the way to the game on 101.1, all that was on was static. He said that they were having problems, but that is was supposed to be on 93.7 instead and again the station was having problems. These problems were the broadcast stations 101.1 and 93.7.

He said that because they messed up the broadcast that he believes this will allow UAB to renegotiate the contract or possibly find another station that would be better. So in the end it may help.
We need to get a station that broadcasts out of Birmingham, not wherever 101.1 is. And a station with some strength.
It has been a disaster ever since ISP took it over...... 03-weeping The on air people are fine. Hell, there is a problem with about every coach's show as well.
hope we stay on FM ..NO AM Radio!
I hope they stay on 101.1. I pick it up REAL good in Huntsville.

I know for a fact this is not ISP's fault. It has to do with the station's not being able to get and transmit the game signal. ISP is working VERY hard to get this fixed. I'm assured there will be a solution soon.

Now if we move the home games to the Von Braun Arena then I'll be able to listen to the post game show as I drive home. ;-)

This radio station problem needs to get fixed. it was bad during football and it is getting off to a rough start for basketball. I brought my radio to the game to listen at the half and the 1260 AM station was nice and clear. Why don't we get some time on that station?

I was talking to a guy about this problem today and I told him that while it was cheesy when Gary Sanders would tell the guy's at the station what ad to run while the player's shot free throws at least you could hear the station. Although I had to use tin foil at times when we were on WAPI. lmfao
You pick up 101.1's signal in Huntsville because it's transmitter is in Cullman. You can't get it at all in Trussville, at least not anywhere near where my parents live. You can't get it in Leeds or Moody, either, from past experience there. You can't get it in Anniston, of course, and I would like to be able to hear UAB games when I'm visiting the inlaws.

The thing they really need to eliminate is the CSTV deal. They should allow direct streaming of the broadcasts through a Real Audio server on campus (UAB has several) so we can hear the games wherever we are, REGARDLESS of the computer platform or Web browser we use.
Yeah... I wish the CSTV thing werent around as well. It helps for some things, but I remember back when there would be a number of UAB home games that would be shown on ESPN+ on like UPN or some other local station like that. Doesn't help the folks outside the area, but I always liked it.

Everyone please thank Lee Moon for the ISP deal and Watson for hiring Lee Moon.
