Putting my bias aside, I just can't see us winning this game. Fresno State is good enough as it is.. add in all the distractions and I just can't pick the Huskies with confidence.

A guy can dream.
I don't have a handle on this one:
~NIU won 9 in a row - we didn't even win 9.
~NIU lost their 3 main coaches.
~NIU still has the same players who won 9 in a row.
~We played 3 terrific WAC teams and 3 mediocre BCS teams - of those 6 games, we lost 4 and were blown out in 3.
~We didn't blow out anybody except an FCS team.
~We had something like -11 turnover margin.
~Our QB sometimes looks scary good, sometimes scary bad.
~Our coach favors the run, but our RBs are mediocre and the starter has multiple injuries.
~Our D gives up the big play--mostly on the ground--but rushes the QB well and is generally scrappy and better than last year.
~We always turn to mush on the bloo against Boise, but we're 2-0 in bowls there.
Fresno will not blow out NIU. NIU could possibly blow out Fresno. More likely, it will be a tightly contested game. We played a pretty good game against Illinois our last time out. If we equal that effort, we probably win...I'll say 34-30.
Way too much turmoil in DeKalb and Fresno is a good team.
