Anyone check out what our 2 signees (Washington/ AA Gabriel Richard and TenSmahel (sp)/ Caledonia ) have been doing with the start of HS Hoops last week?

Detroit Free Press/Mick McCabe didn't even mention the Caledonia kid and Washington was rated with the also rans.

yeah, i saw that too. not too encouraging. and before we start with the "mcCabe's ranking them on a HS level, not how well they'll do in college", it's still a bummer to not see Tenharmsel anywhere on there.
emu recruits:

Looks like Tensmahel fro mCaledonia didn't play for whatever reason. Box score showed a total p[production of 34 points by the Caledonia team and his name wasen't listed, wonder if he's out or injured etc.?? He had 12 points in an opening game loss.

AA Gabriel Richard on the other hand lost rasther hanily to Flint Powers and Washington had 1 point on a free throw.

Not what I anticipated.

Can anyone ad to this? Lets hope we recruited some players!
A few comments. I don't put stock into Mike McCabe's analysis who publishes his opinion once a year. I prefer Steve Bell if you want an opinion. Steve follows the kids through AAU ball and at national tournaments. Our coaching staff and others scout these intensively.
Tenharmsel played for the Grady Elite Grand Rapids AAU team two others from that team signed with Grand Valley State. Bell believes Tenharmsel is a Div I player. Likewise Washington. The problem with high school stats is you can have very little support ie teamates who shoot first pass second.

Now Dennis you said you saw both high school seniors scrimmage against our own team. If these guys held their own against older and stronger players I would say they're keepers.

Its odd prior to the season starting some of the comments were very supportive of these two recruits but now that the season isn't doing so well they become suspect.
Update from last night 12/14

Washington had 20 pts, 13 boards and 6 blocvks in a W

Tensmahel had 24 points (4 threes) in a loss for Caledonia

Keep up the good work!
The Detroit News ranked Washington #20, Tenharmsel was mentioned among other top players to watch. Article by Tom Markowski.
