Thoughts on the Bulldogs?
They are from California, and when Chandler Harnish takes the field as the QB/OC, he is gonna have some game plan that is going to dominate them from the start.

God I can only think how awesome it would be if we win this game. It literally would be my most proud moment as a fan. Even bigger than Maryland.
What does that V mean on their helmet? I feel like I should know this.
******.

Wow, you can't say v@gina on here? Wtf?
Look to be a pretty balanced team for the most part.

Passing: 67th
Rushing: 55th
Points for: 45th
Points against: 79th

The V represents the San Joaquin Valley where Fresno is located. The green in the "V" is a symbol to the agricultural community of the Valley.
Best win: Illinois 25-23

Worst loss: @Ole Miss

Other losses include: @Boise St, Nevada, and Hawaii...all ranked teams
Can't wait for this game. Like 7 says, a win would be an incredibly proud moment as a fan. I can't imagine the enthusiasm there would be if we did...especially with the win going straight into a coach search.

As far as Fresno goes, I don't know much about them besides their tough schedule. There's no doubt Fresno has the advantage of having faced stiffer competition this year. It's time for the Huskies to prove whether they are a fraud 10-3 or not. A blowout loss would indicate so to the country, even if we speculate that would be the result of Kill leaving.
All I know is they win games. Not at a 10 win level, but they win.

They're one of those programs who will play against anyone. Seems like they have a rep for winning their share of those games. Seems like they've had their share of potent offenses through the years. Being a quality team out of California, you know they have talent. Not sure how many they've put into the NFL lately, but they have players. Seems like their coach was a hot name a few years ago but has stuck it out with that program.

I have to think it will take everything our Huskies have to win this one.
Honesty compels me to say Fresno will blow out NIU. This game won't be close.

Bigger than Maryland? Are you NUTS?

It'd be solid, no doubt. But let's not get carried away.
Given the last few days, pulling this game out would be the biggest thing in the last 5 years.

Maryland? Alabama? No. But biggest thing in at least 5 years.

Now that's what I was looking for.
What I dont know about Fresno I will rely on history for a lesson and any prediction.

When a team suffers the loss of a coach before a bowl game, my conjecture is that team more often than not gets mauled.{Anyone have the data to support or refute my conjecture other than cincy/ND in 2009?}

I sadly see the bulldogs taking a large bite outta our Huskies.

Here is what I do know about Fresno: They played a tougher schedule. They will have more crowd support. They have played on the smurf turf previously. They have a big time coach. They beat Illini. They played physically strong vs Wisky last season. That is alot for NIU to overcome.

A Huskie victory is unlikely but would be a HUGE testament to the players and staff remaining behind following the exodus. It could get one of them the HC vacancy . Nothing is impossible. MiamiO proved it.
Montini grad and former Ohio U AD Tom Boeh is their AD

Shocker right there.

This board is sexist.
One thing you can count on from Fresno is a very very hard hitting football game....This is a very tough football team just as you guys are.

The Dogs are a pretty fast bunch, good speed on the D and very fast on O. We have a senior QB and when healthy a pretty solid O line. (once again when healthy)
Fresno has a couple of the top pass rushers in the nation and a very solid LB core. We generally like to run a balanced O run/pass and are not real flashy, Pat Hill is an old school coach he likes to come right at you...

This should be a great match up, I am sure we will se a very physical hard hard hitting game!!!

BTW-Feel free to come on over to the barkboard.com site and chime in!
Maybe Chandler will pull a Payton Manning and call audibles all game long. Would be fun to watch.
