I can recall a couple, Dan McCarney, the ex Iowa St coach and Martin, Grand Valley now @ ND.

I recall no ex Novak assistants were given serious consideration. Is that guy from North Dakota still around? How about the current SIU coach?

Scott Shafer. I wanted him over Kill 3 years ago. I think he'll be among the favorites this time around too.
