Bowling Green leads at halftime, 49-26.

Oops, that's the women playing. As for the men, BG is amazingly down only 25-19 at the half at #6 Michigan State.
Is Charlie Coles moonlighting at BG in his spare time?

Michigan state doesn't take MAC teams seriously. They beat Toledo by 13 last year. So I assume it will be around a 15 point game.
Um... it's now MSU 65 BGSU 34.

Meanwhile, Ohio U appears to be laying a big, giant egg at home against the Blundering Turd. Yes; Marshall. Marshall, Marshall, Marshall!

It's only early December and MAC mens hoops has already made itself irrelevant.

"Please Akron soccer, you're our only hope!"
You mean that juggernaut from Athens we are always hearing about?

Izzo at MSU only cares about wins. I like Izzo and think he may be one of the best coaches in the country. But he generally refuses to schedule in-state MAC teams for several reasons: a) Their RPI takes a hit due to MAC teams' SOS; b) the damage to their national reputation would be too great in the unlikely event that an in-state MAC team were somehow to beat MSU. It got too embarrassing for Michigan to keep losing to WMU, so now they won't play us unless all the games are in AA. We'll pass on that BCS mentality thinking.
WMU 109, Alma 50.

Would have been closer, but Mater didn't play.

Is that the Alma Joys?

OU trails by 3 with 6 min left.
Alma Scots. Coached by a CMU alum, no less.

I know. Just having fun with mighty Alma College. You know how their fans are. Very sensitive.

OU tied up Marshall with 3 min to go. They need to pull that game out. That would be a very bad loss. Marshall is not good.
Marshall 59-55. 2:06 left.
Marshall wins 65-57. Things are not clicking in Athens this season.

50 points for Alma? My late grandmother held up better in a D1 game than I would have thought.
Bobcats lost in football and now hoops to the Herd this year. Ugh.

Alma gawd.

Well, it WAS the Broncos....... but while your late granny does have a decent 3 point shot, she struggled in the paint and was not able to get her walker up and down the court fast enough when WMU ran a bit.

Neither is Ohio.

Wow. Maybe the defections in Athens hurt after all.
St. Bonaventure is up on Buffalo 44-33 at the half. The Bonnies are a remarkable 8/11 from three from the first half, after being one of the worst teams in the nation beyond the arc up until this point.
I saw Illinois put on a 3 pt shooting clinic today in the 2nd half @ Gonzaga. A team gets comfortable out there, and they are hard to stop. Of course, the Bonnies aren't the Illini who look like they may challenge for the B10 title. We saw them last year in the NIT, and they looked like a team on the rise then.

i'd rather be good in March than in December.

UB came in with a good game plan, too. They've attacked Nicholson early and often and got him in early foul trouble. He's spent a lot of time on the bench. What they didn't plan on was Ogo Adegboye going out of his mind from three. He's got 24 points as of now.

UB was down by 11 with a little under 5 minutes to play. Down by 6 with a 3 and a half minutes to go.
