This allows us to go to a real bowl game in a good location. Everyone relax. Do you really want to spend a week touring Detroit, Michigan in the snow and cold?? Maybe Windsor, but not Detroit. Maybe we can fly to Vegas, Mobile, El Paso or somewhere that the likelyhood of getting shot or mugged is less. Finally, we need to join the Big East or C-USA anyway. Its time to make the jump. Lets take Temple, Central Michigan and Toledo with us.

It's not like we've been winning our bowl games like crazy either. A nice bowl game in a warm / nice location sounds good to me.
OK - we did not win the MACC....lets move on and win our bowl game that we are lucky to have. How many teams dream of bowl games and don't get them? Consider us in the lucky ones.

MAC Championship in Detroit is a shame. Host it in a city that is a place to visit. As a former player, who wants to visit Detroit twice in a month. What are you going to do? Visit the burnt out buildings, ghettos or crack houses?? Mobile sounds good to me. By the way huskie 3. How many jocks have you put on in your life. The kids tried real hard. They lost. Let the program get a good bowl and good recruits that do not have to go to a pizza bowl. The program will always be a mid major until the team goes to a different confrence.
There is plenty to do in Detroit. As soon as we got to the hotel, we cabbed it over to the Motown Museum. One of the greatest experiences of my life. Go to Canada, as a lot of the NIU fans did. Have a nice meal at one of Detroit's fine restaurants. There are cultural things to do in Detroit, too. There is plenty to do, if you just look. And, Detroit needs our money.
I met some of the nicest people in Detroit. Pure class, friendly, and helpful. Even people on the street. Outside of the game, I could not have had a better time. The employees of Ford Field could not have been nicer or more friendly.
Many of the people on this board only want to get drunk. Sorry, but you can do that just about anywhere and have a "good" time.
