Teddy Greenstein doesn't think much of Northwestern going to the LCB. He thinks NU in Ticket City bowl (vs. Texas Tech) is a better scenario, although they could end up playing "second-rate" Toledo or Army.

It's a "nightmare scenario" because they'll get their asses handed to them by the Huskies.

I hate to sound not grateful or greedy, but a NU matchup would even be disappointing to me right now. We deserve better. It does have a nice local interest story of two chicago area teams playing, but blahhhhh. We are clearly better than NU, no need to play them.

We may very well be better than them, but to speak arrogantly and ignorantly about how lopsided it would be is silly. I'd guess we'd be about a 3-4 point favorite, if that, against Northwestern in a bowl game. It's a moot point though, they have very little chance of going there.
I wouldnt mind playing NU. Any time we can beat up on a Illinois B10 team its good for us. And I think it would be a decent game.
I'll take NU over Louisiana-anywhere or Middle Finger State any day. Just give me a BCS team - please!

Definitely I would much rather have NU than a .500 Sunbelt school. NIU playing the best competition possible is huge right now for the MAC.
