...and I will, indeed, be proven incorrect. Not in the info I had, but in the confidence of the outcomes. Accordingly, I wouldn't believe a thing I post...I'm sure many of you have reached that conclusion already.

I will see you at the opening of the OCS (which I guarantee is a done deal...for whatever that's worth).

That's ok. Most already knew you were full of sh!t anyway. It's not personal, I'm just very familiar with how UAB likes to play fans with "inside" information. They tell you what you want to hear so you will get out of their face. Fans are the enemy to some people at UAB. Fans ask hard questions, they complain when things aren't right, and they EXPECT things.

I don't blame you man. I blame the evil that infects UAB athletics now.
Ok Blazr I need help on this one..break it down in plain english for me please! What's changing and what prompted you to feel this revelation?

Here's my guess: blazr thought CNC would be fired if he didn't win 6 games (so did I). Now, he's hearing otherwise.
It sounds as if he is saying that the OCS is a done deal (as he predicted) but so is CNC coming back for next year (which he said wouldn't happen if he finished less than 7-5).
That's what he looks like he is saying. I am saying that I want Callaway and the entire staff gone but If I have to put up with him one more year to get an OCS it may be a price worth paying. I don't like it one damn bit but they never asked me what I like. I still think a chance Callaway and staff will be run but I have narrowed those odds considerably.

Sad, sad, day.
If that is how it goes down I guess I'll be on GA tickets next season, when I go.

*edit* Two of them, not the four seasons we currently have.
How can you be confident that OCS is a done deal when we thought a 5-7 CNC (at best) getting kicked to the curb was a done deal, too?

more to the point, blazr didnt "think" CNC would be fired if he didnt win 6. he "guaranteed" that CNC would be fired if he didnt win 8. he then attacked people who dared to debate that guarantee.

Well, I won't make any guarantees, but I do know that there have been UAB folks visiting other schools (which have on campus stadiums) over the last few weeks. That seems a little promising.
So we're playing football at the soccer field next year because with Callaway coaching 2,000 seats should more than handle our crowd.
What I recall was blazr fighting back after he was attacked for having an unpopular opinion. I have been in that position before where someone punched you, you retaliate and then the one you retaliated against claims you attacked them. Now the Cajun situation....... now that is between them. They just need to get a room.

Can't really comment myself on the stadium but I will at least back blazr on his comments about it.
The Miami of Ohio stadium looked like one that would be promising IMO.

Although, I only saw it from the tv point of view.

I guess asking for seats with backs on them is out of the question?

thats not at all what im talking about. im talking about people asking what they thought CNC had to do to keep his job and blazr calling them out because he already told them what the standard was.

i had nothing at all against blazr until a couple of these threads in which he threw the first punch.
Blazr knows what "guarantee" means like Memphis knows what "permanent" means. 03-lmfao

Not worth the price. The program needs to show some backbone and get a coach. If you win people will come to the games, no matter what building the game is played.
I don't think circumstances have changed at all. I have no inside sources on this and actually don't doubt that Brother Blazr was told something by seemingly credible sources. I do know UAB and its corporate culture, and that makes me think Callaway's job is relatively safe.
Just for the record, my sources are generally outside of UAB. What those people said is still true to certain extents. Same with the people inside UAB. It was, and is, going to be a complicated political and financial battle. I felt confident of the outcome.

And to clarify: the OCS is a done deal. I no longer know what to think about Callaway. I still know people saying he could be gone, but more people are saying he stays for 2011. There is no "trade" OCS for Callaway, but that the ink is not even applied much less dried on all the OCS paperwork it is thinner ice than I would like...I'm sure the decision makers at UAB are more aware of this than I. Now that I've issued my mea culpa and clarified for those who politely asked for such, I'll refrain...
