They just went down a list of coaches who have been approached about the job and each one has turned it down. After talking about the coach and his decision to stay where he is currently at they would sound a "wrong answer buzzer". The funny part was when they got to USF's Jim Leavitt and his comment "why would I want to leave the best job in the world?" In other words, someone feels that the job at USF is better than the job at uat.

I have a feeling they are going to struggle to get the coach they really want. So far they are down to their 4th or 5th choice and haven't interviewed anyone yet!

However, I wish we could fire our coach like they did to theirs.
They just did it again! HA HA HA

Right before the close they said "This just in. Alabama has still not received any applications for their open position"
Think they might need to borrow Watson?

Even better, what if UAB and UAT go after the same coach? Is there a possibility?

Maybe that possibility is why the BOT isn't "allowing" Garrison to fire Watson yet.

If I had a guess as to why Watson isn't fired yet (or that its announced), its because we're waiting for the Shula thing to die down just a little. If I had to guess, I think it will be tomorrow, but the date is just my uneducated guess.

Yeah ESPN is the foremost expert on the coaching search at Alabama, they are the ones who said Sunday night that Mike Shula was going to return next year, what a joke. They don't have a clue whats going on.

Jim Leavitt? The only people that have even mentioned his name is ESPN, Fox 6 said today that there is no chance of Leavitt even having a chance to talk to anyone about the job opening, they know a lot more about the situation than the ESPN clowns.
This just in: Watson Brown has announced that he has no interest in the UAT job. lmfao

Yeah Watson stated that they were already a .500 program so what would he have to prove?
Colin Cowherd on ESPN radio was just talking about how Alabama fans are like that crazy boyfriend/girlfriend that calls 12 times a day, and they have "loved" the program to death and made it where no big time coach wants to be there. Then someone called in and told how his neighbor had a life-size cardboard cutout of Mike Shula made and then blasted it with his shotgun after the loss to Auburn.

He already turned them down the last time they were looking for a coach.

not that i really care, or am in the know at all...but a news station in decatur showed an interview w/ leavitt where he was being asked about the job, so there are obviously other people mentioning his name
Quote:Four years ago, Leavitt was offered the Alabama job on two different occasions by Alabama athletic director Mal Moore. When Leavitt didn't accept, Moore hired Mike Price, who was replaced by Shula six months later after Price's much-publicized incident involving exotic dancers.
