Not BS, they have to approve a purchase of coffee, filters and TP. You simply can not make those kind of decisions without Boards ok.
No matter what, I doubt anything will be announced prior to the end of the regular season...

People always say this but they forget back in 2003 that the Big East announcement expansion during the first week of November, during the season. Maybe it's different with TCU's ranking who knows, but it's not unheard of for an announcement to happen during the season.

Yeah, but everyone knew the Big East had to add teams for the 05 season. Plus I think a lot of the parties involved were hoping they could work out a deal with BC going to the ACC for 04, and the C-USA teams coming over early as well.

Only USF was announced in November - in response to BC leaving in October. Louisville & Cincy were already on board.

That's a great point, but BC was also announced by the ACC during the regular season.

Cincinnati and Louisville were announced at the end of October. Even though we knew we were in in August the league never announced it until the end of October. That's when we were given our invites. That was the first time the league acknowledged it, in fact, leading up to that point, Tranghese publicly denied that Louisville was coming when Louisville said they were coming to the Big East.

The 5 C-USA schools were announced as joining the Big East on November 4th, 2003. Boston College was announced as joining the ACC on October 12, 2003.

I believe what you say about Louisville knowing they were coming in August, and Cincy, Marquette and DePaul probably did too, but it makes more sense to wait for all the fallout before announcing everything.

Edit: What I'm saying is that the Big East isn't going to announce anything until all their ducks are in a row. TCU might be a done deal already, but the Big East is waiting to see who is coming with them.
The MWC board is saying that the WAC is inviting TCU to put their other sports in their conference.

Yeah, I've seen that. Why on Earth TCU would go to a conference that may not have an NCAA Tournament auto-bid after everything is all said and done is insane to me, but I guess the WAC has to try something to stay alive. When North Texas and FCS Montana are turning you down because you reek of desperation, it's not looking good.

I don't think it's insane. If TCU has a football-only invite from the Big East and they want to accept it, and if the Missouri Valley isn't interested in TCU for whatever reason, then TCU's only alternatives might be

(1) Southland: Northwestern State, Southeastern Louisiana, Lamar, McNeese State, Central Arkansas, Nicholls State, Texas-Arlington, Sam Houston State, Stephen F. Austin, and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi

(2) WAC: Louisiana Tech, Texas-San Antonio, Texas State, New Mexico State, Utah State, Idaho, and San Jose State
the trained goose did nothing to strengthen the fb side, he was all about keeping the league together.

Honestly I'd be happy as hell... At least Notre Dame won't be able to steal the bowl when there is a more deserving team the next 3 years. 02-13-banana
I'm all for it this year as well. No excellent teams this year, no reason to get embarrassed any more than the Big East has to.
What was the TCU Board of Trustees Conference Call about on Tuesday?

it's been moved to Monday per the killerfrogs website
I'm much more apt to believe that the trustees would be voting on this on Monday. It would make sense to announce this during championship week to co-opt some of the publicity away from the other conferences holding championship games or actual really big matchups.
I think the post said that they're having the conference call first thing on Monday morning so I'm guessing that if it's to happen, it will happen fairly quickly
