example of letting your shooter shoot, even when they are not hitting shots, and even taking some bad shots. Chas couldn't hit a bull in the ass with a bass fiddle in the first half. She took some bad, off balance shots, along with some very nice shots which just didn't go in, but it didn't seem to bother Coach Foley.
The second half came around, and all of a sudden she started making everything, even including a three point shot. If Foley had gotten on Chas's case and sat her down for taking a few bad shots, or missing shots early, we would have never won that game. That's why you never criticize a proven shooter when he or she takes a quick or bad shot. In the long run, they'll win more games for you then they lose.
Now when a bad shooter who shouldn't be shooting at all keeps putting up bad shots, that's a different story. You sit them down.
