DENTON, Texas - Running back Lance Dunbar and placekicker Zach Olen were once again named the Offensive and Special Teams Players of the Week by the Sun Belt Conference.

Dunbar had the best rushing performance in the nation this week, going for 226 yards on 36 carries (6.3 yards per carry) with one touchdown in the 23-17 win at Middle Tennessee. Dunbar had a total of 272 all-purpose yards, adding two catches for 46 yards to his rushing total.

Dunbar's total was the best performance in the Sun Belt Conference this season and the 15th-best in the nation this season. With his performance Saturday, Dunbar went over the 1,000-yard rushing mark, making him just the second back in North Texas history to have back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons.

His average of 126.4 yards in conference games leads the Sun Belt. It was the fourth time in his career and the second time this season he has eclipsed the 200-yard rushing mark in a game.

Olen was the difference maker in the 23-17 win at Middle Tennessee. His perfect night included 3-for-3 on field goal attempts and 2-for-2 on PAT attempts for a total of 11 points in the victory.

He also booted a 53-yard field goal as time expired in the first half, which tied for the seventh-longest field goal in North Texas history and the ninth-longest in the nation this season.

Olen was responsible for North Texas' last 10 points of the game, which included field goals from 53, 24 and 38 yards. Since taking over the starting kicking job six games into the season he has made 10 of his 12 field goal attempts.
