I was patiently awaiting something snarky but his response was good:

I feel safe knowing that if I wasn't home, you and this guy both are proficient and if someone was breaking into my home I feel like you'd be a good neighbor and protect it.

I grinned and said, yea against man or the neighborhood bear.

Man brought me several nice fresh tomatoes earlier in the week. I can't complain.

We did have the conversation about Trump v Biden. He asked me was I considering his candidate or the other guy. Told him I'm for Trump. He asked why. I laid out my reasoning.

I asked him why Biden. He said Biden nor Harris excited him, but he just doesn't think Trump is the right man for the job. That's fair. I told him the same for the other two.
