Pretty good read, I agree that the Big East should put more pressure on Nova for an answer and of course I am a fan of adding UCF.

This board has turned into a pointless popularity contest. I know why some of you hate CUSA teams now.
I get the general gist of the column, although why TCU isn't at the VERY top of the expansion list doesn't make sense to me.

One relatively minor quibble is the extremely wrong "assumption" that it would be easy for the NCAA to change its rules mandating 12 teams for a conference championship game and move it down the 10. The ACC failed at getting that changed and if the Big Ten and Pac-10 thought that they would be able to do that prior to expanding to 12, they would have. Now that 4 of the 6 BCS conferences are at 12 teams (and they happen to be the 4 conferences that aren't completely dysfunctional), there's NFW that they're changing that rule.
By the way, does this guy even know the first thing about college football? Anyone with even a BASIC knowledge knows that you need at least 12 teams to hold a championship.

He does know that, but has the very wrong belief that such rule would be "easy" to change.
Someone that knows NOTHING about college football. But hey its from Boston and we know they are really into pro-sports not college.

#1 As was previously pointed out you cant have a championship unless you have 12 teams. Shows how much this guy knows.

#2 He talks about how the Big East is missing those ranked teams and then adds that we should add Temple and UCF. Last time I checked neither of those two teams are NOT in Top 25 and in fact I cant even think when if ever they have been top 25.

#3 doesnt mention TCU, which is the ONLY addition that would inpact the current weakness of Big East not having ranked teams.

Sorry that article could had been written by an elementary school kid.

Massive FAIL!!!!

But...he DOES mention TCU...sort of...
He only mentions TCU as a long range proposition if the league goes to 12.
If he really wants to add an addition that will help in tghose rankings he mentions at the start of article then TCU trumps Temple and UCF
