Did Derek Wolfe have 2 personal fouls called on him when USF scored? And 1 was for kicking a player!?!?!?! Way to represent the C.
This team has discipline issues, no doubt. Way too many penalties.

Who is # 66? He must have had 5 or 6 penalties on him alone.

Sam Griffin
Very undisciplined team. We've been that way all year. 12 penalties for 115 yards is completely unacceptable. Coaches need to spend more time ripping some asses instead of jumping around and chest bumping.
The late hit penalty might have been one of the weakest calls I've seen in a long time. I rewound it twice and all I could see was the USF player being a spun around by the arm one time after the whistle...hardly a "hit".

Ha! I have thought that all year, the chest bumping thing. At least to me, it looks retarded (not that there's anything wrong with that if you have no choice ;-) ). They were getting hammered by Fresno and NC State and you had guys jumping off trampolines and doing one and a half back flips just to do the ole' manly pressing of chestises after they tackled their man.03-lmfao

I wish some of the coaches or BJ himself would tell them they look like dorks or if they choose to look like dorks....to only do back flips when the game is in hand with under two minutes left....at least we would only get to watch UC's mens gymnastics team for two minutes. One of these games, someone is going to tear an ACL or something over something they shouldn't be doing to begin with IMO.
85 Barnet drive into the end zone cost the Bcats 4 points. Instead of focusing on end in the endzone and behaving like he has been there which he has, he steps out of bounds for the superman drive and the offense can't punch it in. Field goal instead of a touchdown. Very poor discipline against a very beatable team. It is starting to look like no bowl game.
That is a problem for which there is no excuse. I am beginning to question Jones and his handling of things during a game. He always seems to be screaming or whining at a ref when he should be presenting a calm front. The players see this and follow suit by acting out of control as well.

At first, I thought the same thing, but I believe the personal foul was on the block that occurred about 5 to 10 yards in front of the play.

Who along with #60 make the worst one two punch in BE line play.

So, after Griffin and Kelce played so well on our OL last year, all the sudden they suck? What's wrong here?
These penalties can at critical time in the game. Two of Pead's longest runs were called back due to holding penalties. However, the personal fouls and unsportsmanlike conduct penalties show lack of discipline.

I think there have been some excellent posts on here about why we didn't win the other night......breaking down the defensive strategies, coverages, and calls, etc. There are some people on here who really know their football. This "theme" that we lost because CBJ yells at the refs too much and is too emotional; however, seems pretty weak. It's a lame attempt to compare CBJ to BK's demeanor and approach. BK's "calm and confident" approach looked pretty silly yesterday as he calmly watched Navy's 230lb fullback go off tackle for 200+ yards as they were routed to go 4-4. Our former basketball coach, so revered by many, used to spend more time yelling at the refs than coaching...and this seemed never to be an issue. It's all about winning...and I'd go w/ the reasons of blown defensive backfield coverages and a too conservative defensive scheme/strategy over the fact that refs were getting yelled at.
Thank you MLB. I couldn't agree more.

For what it's worth I was not trying to compare Jones with Kelly. In fact I take great pleasure in watching ND lose and I hope they continue to do so. And as much as I liked the types of teams Huggins had when he was here I always felt he could do with less screaming at the refs as well.

This thread is about personal fouls and it is my opinion that if the head coach presents a business - like front the players will for the most part follow suit and not commit foolish acts that lead to critical 15 yard penalties.
Agree on all of the above but the worst call of the game was the NO call on # 30 of USF who nailed Woods. I saw the pic on two photographers cameras and they both show he was about 3 to 5 yds away from Woods when he dropped the ball and then he leveled him. We s/b 1st and goal after that play.
