I thought it was the other way around. I thought oldmangrizz was Bob Guccione's childhood hero.

I knew Guccione had sunk a sh*tload of his money ($17.5 million, according to the NYTimes obituary. I don't know exactly how that translates into today's dollars, but I figure inflation would multiply that figure by at least 4x or 5x) into making a "prestige" porno, but I had no idea he had gotten the actors Malcolm McDowell, Peter O'Toole, John Gielgud, and Helen Mirren to agree to be in it.

Many sources have noted how his former residences ("a 17,000-square-foot double townhouse on East 67th Street, and his country estate in Staatsburg, N.Y.") eventually got foreclosed and sold at auction, but I confess some curiosity about who wound up with the townhouse. I mean... Seventeen-thousand square feet on the Upper East Side... Wow.
