With OSU losing today where does everyone think they will fall in the polls? Bama only dropped to 8 losing to the 19th ranked team by 14. OSU losing to the 16th ranked team by 13. I say they drop out of the top ten somewhere around 14 or 15.
This helps Boise State. They are a lock to be #1 in the BCS when the standings come out tomorrow. Both OSU and Nebraska lost.
WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah but Auburn won over Arkansas so I expect them to move up possibly passing Boise and Oklahoma.

Unfortunately I look for Boise to drop out of that #1 spot in the next few weeks. But it will be nice to see them in there for at least one week.

Yeah, I agree. Their SOS is going to start dropping, so they will fall. They probably still won't get in the national championship game, even if they go undefeated, without 3 or 4 more losses by teams in the top 5. Not sure that will happen.
Oregon had a bye- might they not move to #1?

Don't think they will move to #1 in the BCS yet. Though I think Oregon State lost last night, so that will hurt Boise State's SOS some.

Are you joking? They'll drop about as far as Alabama did. I think they'll end up around 9 in the polls.

+ 1

Life is good!! 04-cheers
Boise does have Hawaii(5win team) on 11/6 then Fresno(11/19) and Nevada(11/26). Playing the other 3 WAC teams with winning records should keep them from dropping much provided that they win those games by at least 21 pts.
BT may have only 1 team in top 10. Several decent teams but not much that is really outstanding.

Michigan State is undefeated and has a good chance of finishing so with a remaining schedule of NW, Iowa, Minnesota, Purdue, Penn State.

Sadly for Michigan State they could go undefeated and not make the BCS championship game.

Huh? They have 4 in the top 12 of the latest coaches poll.
Well Oregon State lost and Texas beat Nebraska. The Texas win helps Oklahoma, so the Sooners look like they will be #1 in the BCS when the first ranking is announced tonight.

I think that's doubtful. It will probably be Boise State, but they won't be able to stay there for very long.
ESPN has already projected Oklahoma to be #1 with Oregon #2 and Boise State #3. we'll see later tonight.

WOW... Their toughest games are NW & Iowa. Minn, Purdue & Penn St have nothing. Purdue w/ Henry @ QB does look different and vastly improved.

I think probably Oregon #1 since they have the most votes for it, then Oklahoma #2.

Boise State is #2 in both the AP and Coaches poll this week. I will give Boise at least a shot at making the title game.

For Boise, it will all depend on how VT, Oregon St, and TCU do.

-VT is back in the top 25 with a 5 game winning streak and is capable of finishing 11-2 with a BCS berth as the ACC champ.

-Oregon State has the talent to put together a nice season out of the PAC-10, maybe finishing 2 or 3 in the PAC 10 with an Oregon upset.

-TCU by virtue of taking votes away from other BCS schools at the top could be an ally for Boise St., pushing the Broncos into a title game.

One thing against Michigan State is tradition. They don't have any recent tradition of playing like a top 10 team and could stumble badly somewhere down the stretch.

They will need at a minimum Oklahoma and Auburn to lose for any chance at a title game.

What they should do with the BCS is crown the champion after the bowls are played, that would give a team like Michigan State a better shot.
