Cherundolo got hit hard by a bad challenge... No FK and no card, and there should've been.
10' -- Jozy collects from a cross and lays it down for Dempsey, who shoots just over the bar. Still 0-0.
13' -- GOAL!!!!!!! ALTIDORE! Jozy times his run perfectly to collect a throughball over the top from Jermaine Jones and slots it home. 1-0
16' -- Poland gets a shot off, but Howard catches easily. 1-0
Poland equalizes after consecutive bad clearances from Holden and Gooch. 1-1.
I'd say the crowd is probably 60-40 favoring Poland. Pathetic.
Jozy shot off the crossbar once, but it's 1-1 at halftime.
GOOCH! Header off a corner from Holden. 2-1 USA
Another Polish equalizer. 2-2.
Wow, what a match. Game ends 2-2, but the US really should've gotten a late winner. Ball bounced around in the penalty area for about a full minute following a corner. Replay showed the ball at one point came within about an inch of going completely over the line but the Poles stopped it just in time. Fair result.
Jones was a BEAST (until he ran out of energy at the end of the game).
Sadly, I read today that only 6,000 tickets have been sold to the game tomorrow.
