"Northern Illinois dominated every phase of the game tonight – offense, defense, special teams. They were a much more physical team than us. Had more urgency than us and certainly outplayed us in all phases of the game. I give all the credit to Coach (Jerry) Kill and his staff and having his team ready to play. I felt we had made great strides in the last four weeks and had a good week or practice this past week, but that didn't translate into us playing better. I'm disappointed in how we played and I know our team is disappointed in how we played. We need to learn from this and get ourselves back up off the ground and get ready to play again next week."

"We’ve had a tough road stretch, and we are just glad to come here and get a win. The kids played hard and it’s tough to win on the road, but we were able to tonight. We had some kids make some great catches tonight and I don’t think we dropped a ball. I think Chandler (Harnish) is playing as well as he has since he has been here, especially in the last three weeks."
