As you all know the Falcons beat the Saints Saturday and it's not only great they beat the defending Super Bowl champs but lets not forget the coach Mike Smith who played for ETSU Football from the late 70s and early 80s way to go coach keep some Buc Football alive somewhere.

Congratulations to Coach Smith! I feel he will be pivotal in helping to bring back Buc football in the next couple of years.

The key to bring ETSU football back is Stanton leaving.

Good Morning America featured Kenny Chesney's football music video today 9-28-2010. The song ought to be the theme in returning football to ETSU... It's called "the boys of fall."

Chesney is a big orange fan. ETSU had football when he was going to school... I don't know if he went to games or not. His music video features Peyton Manning three times...even General Neyland is on there. I know if he was so inclined, he could sponsor the return of ETSU football all by himself.

The video makes it clear that there is so much more to football than just the game... the life lessons learned have applications everywhere... but at ETSU students don't get that. It's sad. The good news is that football will return... it's just a matter of time.

Chesney and Smith are two former ETSU people with big money. It will take folks like this donating big sums to get football back.

My mom taught Kenny Chesney and she said he sucked when he was starting out but yea ETSU football will be back.
